Why do I think Queen Victoria would not be amused?
One might even say she'd get her knickers in a twist?
A pair of silk bloomers that belonged to HRH sold at auction yesterday, Nov. 1 for $14,950 to an anonymous bidder - not me!
The knickers (which have a split seam for, um, convenience) are embroidered with a crown and the initials VR for Victoria Regina.
The framed bloomers were allegedly kept in a bathroom cupboard (so as not to embarrass Prince Charles when he visited) at Old Battersea House, the London home of U.S. publishing clan the Forbes family.
I can't help but wonder what my unmentionables would sell for.
