Steampunk adventures

The new catalog is here!

The new catalog is here!

The 2014 Carpatina Dolls catalog is out, featuring one of the two new steampunk outfits upon its cover!

Fun and exciting traveling
fashions in the age of steam – the style is late Victorian with a modern twist.

The outfits, which are on page 15, are adorable!

However, please be warned. These outfits DO NOT fit 18-inch dolls such as American Girl ME. The Fantasy Adventures outfits are designed for their slimmer 18-inch doll. (The Girlfriends Collection does fit American Girl dolls.)

Maybe I'll get a new friend for Christmas?

Who do you think should join my Steam Team?

I tend to like brunettes, if that helps.

I wonder if they'll let me borrow the Steampunk Extras?

  1. The accessories would work for AG, though, right? I don't like the faces on the Carpintina olls. I would look for a slim doll from another line to wear these outfits.

  2. Oh, that's too bad. Perhaps if enough requests are made they will add the steampunk outfits to the Grilfriends Collection. In the meantime I think the GFC Bustle Back Dress could be modified appropriately.

I think either Ana Ming or Kohanna should join your family. They are both beautiful.

  3. Oooh! Kohanna, definitely. But char from doll diaries has an Ana Ming on sale on ebay if you'd want her instead! I may have to pick the accessories up. I hope they make a AG sized version!

  5. Julia and Emma rank among my dolls that I would never part with, but I also think Kohanna is adorable.

I actually may have to get one of the steampunk outfits for Julia, as she is always looking for adventure; Emma wouldn't be caught dead in it.
