Time meant nothing

We did it! We saw "Little" Nell Campbell (Columbia), Patricia Quinn (Magenta), and Barry Bostwick (Brad) at Phoenix Comicon 15 today - and they loved us!

Little Nell loved us so much she took our photos to post on her Instagram page!

I was dressed as Columbia in the Time Warp sequence:
  • Gold sequined top hat with black hatband.
  • Gold sequined tailcoat with black sequined shawl lapels.
  • Pink bow
  • Black dog collar with rhinestones.
  • Sequined bustier.
  • Black cotton sateen shorts with ribbon stripes.
  • Seamed fishnet pantyhose.
  • Light blue boot cuffs
  • Black tap boots
Clementine wore Columbia's pajamas from the Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me scene:
  • Seersucker men's white/blue striped pajamas.
  • Black plastic Mickey Mouse ears on black felt cap
  • Open-toed black mules.
We had our photos taken with them which I'll post later this week.

Oh, and we also saw Summer Glau (River in Firefly and Serenity) who signed Clementine, and Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy!) who ignored me but signed a photo for Momma. Author Naomi Novik signed a couple of books - including my little autograph book!

Sadly, we only saw Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones), Karl Urban (Star Trek), and Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future) from a distance. We were broke.

Phoenix 'Coma-con'

I don't know Who is more tired tonight: Clementine, Momma, my Big Sister, or I!

Today was our first day at Phoenix Comicon 15. Lots of changes have been made to this year's event (mostly layout) and we were Quite Pleased.

My Big Sister was primarily interested in the Exhibition Hall so we spent the day there viewing the 600-plus booths and tables looking for treasures - My Little Pony primarily in her case.

We did see one counterfeit Monster High Draculaura ($10) which fascinated us. We also saw the 2011 San Diego Comicon exclusive Monster High doll, Dead Fast Ghoulia. (We passed at $500!)

Many of the exhibitors were old favorites (Hello Fez-o-Rama and your newest mini-fezes!) but some new ones were also found, such as Vamplets. We've heard about them for years but this was their first PHXCC appearance.

We've been taking photos, but the home internet is down tonight so we'll have to upload them later.

Tomorrow is a busy day with lots of panels, photo ops, and autograph sessions - not to mention The Rocky Horror Picture Show screening with a shadowcast and film stars Barry Bostwick (Brad), Nell Campbell (Columbia), and Patricia Quinn (Magenta)!

Don't dream it, be it.

I see you shiver with antici ...

Yippee! Phoenix Comicon 15 officially opened today!

Momma has been busily working on our new cosplay outfits (Clementine and I are wearing two different Columbia outfits from The Rocky Horror Picture Show in honor of her PHXCC appearance) and she is exhausted. She said it's harder to get us ready than it is to get ready herself!

We'll also be wearing:

  • Firefly in honor of Summer Glau
  • Hogwarts in honor of Jason Isaacs
  • Star Trek in honor of Karl Urban
  • ... and my Super Suit just because it's awesome!

... PATION!

Don't dream it, be it

I'm lucky, he's lucky, we're all lucky!

Brad, Magenta, and Columbia from The Rocky Horror Picture Show are coming to Phoenix Comicon 2015!

Tony Award Winner Barry Bostwick played Brad Majors in Rocky Horror and went on to gain notoriety on stage and on screen where he's appeared in titles including Spin City, Supernatural, and Scandal.

Nell Campbell appeared in both stage and film versions of Rocky Horror as Colombia. Following the film she continued to perform on stage in productions including A Street Car Named Desire, You Should Be So Lucky, and Nine.

Patricia Quinn also played Magenta both on stage and in the film version of Rocky Horror. She continued acting with roles in I, Claudius, Shock Treatment, Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, and Doctor Who.

Yes, Momma frequently went to the midnight showings from 1979-1982. She even dressed up - usually as Brad or Columbia.

Stay tuned for what she's thinking of for us!
