Elle marche dans la beauté comme la nuit

wildeimagination.com
Whew, what a day for dolls!

First was the long awaited release of BeForever.

Secondly, a Dear Friend found a Coffin Bean Robecca for Me!

Third, and finally, my beloved Wilde Imagination released a new character doll in their wildly popular Evangeline Ghastly line!

Meet Angelique de la Nuit - a childhood friend of Parnilla's! Angelique was born in Hoboken, New Jersey as Gladys Hope Goldfarb. Soon after, she moved to Paris....

At a mere $225, I better start saving my half-dimes.

One in a million

I went off to find my friend Ivy after leaving the indignity of the restroom.

Harumph.

I found her hanging out with our friend Julie in 1974.

Ivy was greatly astonished to find several doppelgängers of herself standing around. I comforted her by saying there was an opportunity to be found in clones.

I demonstrated by taking her into the 1864 room (I think of AGPLA as one, giant TARDIS) and tried to waken my doppelgängers from their stasis.

Mwahaha.

Dozens, nay hundreds, of Addys at my command!

Too bad it didn't work.

Momma said it took more than my half-dime to wake them from their slumber.

So now I am saving up. In the meantime, my Big Sister's Addy is amenable to my plans.

One down....

Oz and ends

Tonner Dolls
'tis a sad day.

The long awaited (at least by me) Tonner Doll Company's Tornado Traveler Dorothy and Scarecrow Not Afraid of Anything are finally available and Momma's broke.

I generously offered her my half-dime but she said it wasn't enough.

Does anyone know where I can find 7,400 more?

Steampunk gone Wilde

Theodora
Phineas
Alas, my half-dime was not enough to get me into the first Wilde Weekend in Louisville, Kent.

Not only is it all Wilde all weekend, but tonight they had a steampunk event!

Table gift
Join Wilde Imagination as we open our first-ever Wilde Weekend with a glimpse into the genre known as Steampunk. Our hosts will be our very own Theodora Curiosity Bennett, along with her brother Phineas Jules. Be prepared for a Steampunk-inspired table gift, an informative program, and the opportunity to purchase an amazing centerpiece. You’ll indulge in savory desserts and finger foods while getting to know your fellow Wilde Weekenders. A costume contest will be held during the event – so if you choose to, dress in your most imaginative Steampunk fashions and gear up for some fun prizes!

Sob!

Bring out yer dead

First Samantha, then Kirsten, followed by Felicity. Who is next? No one knows but some are fearful with the introduction of a Yellow Fever epidemic in 1853 New Orleans....

The Dead Collector: Bring out yer dead.

(American Girl® puts a body on the cart.)

AG: Here's one.

The Dead Collector: That'll be a half-dime.

Addy Walker: I'm not dead.

The Dead Collector: What?

AG: Nothing. There's your half-dime

Addy®: I'm not dead.

The Dead Collector: 'Ere, she says she's not dead.

AG: Yes she is.

Addy®: I'm not.

The Dead Collector: She isn't.

AG: Well, she will be soon, she's very ill.

Addy®: I'm getting better.

AG: No you're not, you'll be stone dead in a moment.

The Dead Collector: Well, I can't take her like that. It's against regulations.

Addy®: I don't want to go on the cart.

AG: Oh, don't be such a baby.

The Dead Collector: I can't take her.

Addy®: I feel fine.

AG: Oh, do me a favor.

The Dead Collector: I can't.

AG: Well, can you hang around for a couple of months? She won't be long.

The Dead Collector: I promised I'd be at the McIntire's®.

AG: Well, when's your next round?

The Dead Collector: Next year.

Addy®: I think I'll go for a walk.

AG: You're not fooling anyone, you know. Isn't there anything you could do?

Addy®: I feel happy. I feel happy.
(The Dead Collector looks around furtively, then archives Addy® with a whack of his club.)

AG: Ah, thank you very much.

The Dead Collector: Not at all. See you next year.

AG: Right.

With major apologies to American Girl, Addy, and 1975's Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
