The Steam Ship Lollipop has sailed

Actress and Ambassador Shirley Temple has died.

Shirley Temple was an American moving picture and television actress, singer, dancer, and one-time U.S. ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia. She also served as Chief of Protocol of the United States from 1976–1977.

Momma has never been a big fan (she was influenced by Grandmomma who was forced to wear ringlets as a child - she could recite 'Twas the night before Christmas in the time it took to get her curls done) but we are still sad to hear of her passing.

You can't got to a doll show and not see dozens, if not hundreds, of Shirley Temple dolls, but imagine my surprise when ma chère amie Cécile said she actually liked some Shirley Temple movies.

R.I.P.
